Baton Rouge Bar Association’s Family Law Section

Who is Eligible to be a Member: All lawyers who are members of the Baton Rouge Bar Association may be a member of this Section, with a particular encouragement to lawyers who have a family law practice. There is a $25 annual fee to be a member of the Family Law Section.

 Purpose of the Family Law Section:  

    • To coordinate and implement new membership in the Baton Rouge Bar Association ("BRBA") and to assimilate family lawyers into the BRBA on a monthly basis so as to elicit membership as well as participation in the committee system of the BRBA; 
    • To promote professional and social understanding and cooperation and network among family lawyers in BRBA 
    • To motivate present membership to become active in the Section’s membership in general and the committee process specifically;  
    • To take such other action and perform such other functions as the Executive Committee deems appropriate. 

Activities of the Family Law Section: The Family Law Section sponsors speaker presentations and CLEs throughout the year at its monthly luncheons. For a calendar of events, please click here .
