During these uncertain times, Division C of the Family Court is committed to continuing to serve the Baton Rouge Community. Division C will be fully staffed and open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. All staff members will be available daily by e-mail (see below) and a staff member will be present each day of the week.
If both parties are represented by counsel and need a status in a pending matter, Judge Day will be available to status by telephone or "Zoom" on Monday mornings between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Please contact Brienne or Adrianna by e-mail to schedule your status conference.
Further, Judge Day will be available to confirm uncontested divorces pursuant to La. Civil Code art. 102. Both attorneys must agree to allow the divorce to proceed. These divorces will take place in 30 minute time intervals on Wednesday mornings between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. To limit person to person contact as much as possible, only the attorney confirming the divorce may be present. Please contact Brienne or Adrianna prior to filing your Rule to Show Cause to schedule a time and date to confirm your divorce.
