Mindfulness & Meditation Practices for Attorneys

Mindfulness & Meditation Practices for Attorneys
Start the new year learning how mindfulness and meditation practices can help us develop a healthier relationship to the stress we experience as attorneys. The Baton Rouge Bar Association in collaboration with the Baton Rouge Mindful Lawyers Group is pleased to host this peer-led training on meditation and mindfulness practices for attorneys.

The training begins with a FREE Professionalism CLE on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 6 pm at the Baton Rouge Bar Association. The CLE is open to any attorneys who wish to learn more about this topic -- attendance at the following training sessions is entirely optional. The CLE will introduce attorneys to mindfulness and meditation practices and will serve as an orientation to the four-week peer-led training on mindfulness/meditation for attorneys which will take place over the following four Tuesdays, January 21 and 28, and February 4 and 11, 2020 at 6 PM at the Baton Rouge Bar Association.

The CLE and training will be presented and facilitated by practicing attorneys who have experienced how mindfulness practices can improve the way we relate to professional stress.

The four-session training is based on The Anxious Lawyer, by Jeena Cho and Karen Gifford, a self-guided introduction to mindfulness and meditation practices for attorneys. Attorneys participating in the training will read selected portions of The Anxious Lawyer and learn together the meditation and mindfulness practices presented in the book.
