Micro Session 1  - Curator for Absentees:  What is Due Diligence?

Description:  This micro session will provide insight and resources to assist attorneys in carrying out duties of curator ad hoc.  Exercising due diligence to locate an individual in the age of social media, google and other locator tools and technology may impact the determination of “diligent effort” made by the curator.  The session will reinforce the need for appointment of attorneys for a missing party, and the consequences of denying due process to an absentee.  Participants will receive forms and other resources to aid in conducting a comprehensive search process.
