Social Security CLE
This seminar is designed to introduce attorneys to the One Stop Homeless Services Center Legal Clinic, an innovative way for attorneys to volunteer, to provide unbundled legal services and to learn skills transferable to one’s private practice while helping Baton Rouge’s homeless and those at-risk of becoming homeless.

Knowing that a stable income can assist in the prevention of homelessness, the program’s goal is to assist in obtaining benefits for its clients. This seminar describes how YOU can help in one or more of these ways - conducting interviews at the Legal Clinic, reviewing medical records to document disability and representation at the Social Security hearing. Topics to be discussed include interviewing a disabled client, deciphering medical records and proving disability in the Social Security process.
