Region III High School Mock Trial Competition
This competition, typically held in the spring, educates high school students about the law and legal system through a fun, hands-on experience. The student teams study a hypothetical case and prepare a case for both the plaintiff and defense, and then present their case before a judge and a mock jury of attorney performance judges at trial. Volunteer attorney and teacher coaches prepare the students for their “day in court.”
The parishes included in Division III are Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana parishes.
Stay tuned for the upcoming 2020 dates of the Region II Mock Trial Competition.
