Landon T. Hester

Executive Director

Landon T. Hester serves as Executive Director of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, leading the organization’s staff, programs and strategic initiatives to strengthen the legal profession and serve the Baton Rouge community.

Landon previously served as BRBA’s Communications Lead from 2017 to 2021 before joining the Center for Planning Excellence, where he led strategic communications and outreach initiatives focused on community planning, economic development and renewable energy. He returned to BRBA as Executive Director in 2025, bringing extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, communications, event management and community engagement.

Landon oversees a staff of seven and works closely with Bar leadership, members of the judiciary and community partners to grow membership, expand programming and strengthen the Association’s operations. He serves on the boards of Baton Rouge Gallery and Friends of the Animals Alliance and is a graduate of Leadership Baton Rouge.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and a master’s degree in Strategic Communications from Louisiana State University.
